Headlight question
I don't see an appropriate forum for this question, nor did I find any answers on a search.............
Has anyone looked into installing (if possible) the auto headlight shut-off function on the xD? All my other Toyota's, I could leave the headlight switch on 24/7 and they would turn on at start-up, and turn off when I shut it of and opened the door (or they could be set to time-out)
I did read the TC's and I think the xB's had the function.
This is a very nice function for us North Westerners, with the constant changing of the elements. I like leaving my headlights on 24/7, especially in these little cars, mainly for safety.

You make it sound so easy........ Maybe someone who lives near me knows electrical, but I'm just an ol' gearhead. If that's all it takes, I'm willing to let them have at it.
Another suggestion is to have the power taken off of the power window line, so that there will be a short time when the power remains on after the ignition key has been turned off. That would give you lights, for a few monents...
There is one caveat, in that the tail lights are also on with the headlights, and with Day-Lights, the tail lights are usually not illuminated.
Just a thought.
