Default iPod quirkiness

Hey all,

I just picked up a 2012 xD, which runs great, but I have a question about the iPod and the Pioneer Standard.

RESTART: Sometimes it's just not recognized. I can unplug the USB cable, plug it back in, then press the iPod button on the Pioneer and it starts up.

Then I can drive down the road, stop somewhere and turn off the engine, get back in and start the car, and the iPod starts off where it was. I can do this several times with numerous stops and each time I start the car again, it plays again from where it was.

Except when it doesn't, then I have to do the RESTART above.

Sometimes when I'm driving, right at the end of a song, it just stops. The Pioneer displays "Bluetooth not connected" and pressing the iPod button does nothing, until I perform the RESTART procedure above.

Does anyone have any tips? I realize that it may be the iPod and not the stereo head. It's pretty annoying, that's for sure.

Thanks,
Speck

For the sake of future searchers. and note that I've only tested this for one day so far, but using a different cable seems to have resolved this issue. It was a newer and also a shorter cable (the old one was a non-OEM 3 meter cable).

I'll post again if it reverts back to having problems.
