Default Overhaul on the audio side.

First off, post your pics of any of your audio mods!

Second I decided to post all of my mods in one place

heres what I've done so far. The budget has dwendeld down to zero so I can't do anything beyond whats been done for now. (I hate the Alpine scion HU so I WILL find funds to get a new pioneer navi one )

DAMN you got some serious wires running under that threashold to the back. AND the BACK?!?!?!? SWEET. Love the box, if you can call it a box, that you built with the carpet covering, pointing that subforward. I'm guessing it's a pretty

I built something similar for 1 of 1976 280Z's back in the day. Removed spare, etc, etc.
Pics and posts like yours and others are pushing me off the fence towards the side of.......more CUSTOM audio work!

Quite honestly I built it. The port, volume etc is built to spec but I want more and hate my design. I aready have a new design in my head. But it involes another sub, amp and battery. Thats not even half the wiring, I didnt realize until now I took no pics of the battery and every thing under the box!. It hits hard I like it, but until more funds are available this is how its gonna have to stay. Besides my new design the electronics alone are gonna run me another $1500 .
If only the pics did justice. Itsloud crisp andclear. 86 dB at about 20% volume with current set up

I am doing the same thing in the summer time. I have 2 new 12s (DC Audio level 4s) and a RF T1000-1bdcp that I will be puting in my car. I have to upgrade power wire, don't need a second battery yet. But the box however, I need about 3.25 cubes gross and I want to keep it as low as possible. So I am going to try and fiberglass the bottom of the box in the wheelwell and that stuff down there.

fiberglass is a PITA! I built mine using baltic birch. much lighter and easier to work with.
Whats your mids and highs?

I am using Rockford T1652-s components. My current amp (a Rockford T400.4) will be used once I redo everything. I will be taking advantage of the bi-amp capability and using all 4 channels of the amp.

I HATE the install kit. I'm molding everything to fit soon in the same way i did for the tweeters.

secondskinaudio.com

i highly recommend the damplifier pro for everything but the spare tire well. the regular damplifier is alot easier to use with all those dang curves in there.
I can give you any information you need on it. They are a great company, and have fast shipping

Thanks for the tips everyone. I want to keep every thing hidden. Any addresses too for ordering stuff. Send any info to me on hooking up and specs.

As you can see from my pics, keeping everything hidden isn't too hard in these cars. I also opted to go with all black electronics (they really just all happen to be black lol) to "blend" in with the car. If you want any specific details on anything, just ask. I strongly reccommend getting an aftermarket headunit. both the pioneer and the alpine ones by scion SUCK. =) I had them both.

I have been really happy with my Navi unit, but I also have a Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.2 that is helping a ton!
