Default Question on navigation headunits

I'm just starting looking into upgrading my stock radio. I want something with GPS and DVD playback. I also want something that will still work with the steering wheel controls. Seems lots of people recommend either Pioneer's avic series or Eclipse's stuff. Any of these work with the built in steering wheel controls?

Eclipse will work with the steering wheel controls
Pioneer, you will need to buy an adapter for them which will cost an extra 50 dollars.

Maybe check with a local good car audio store... I would bet they would know how to get their hands on one for the specific unit you're asking about. If not...then contact that division of Pioneer and ask them where to get one.
