Default steering wheel plastic

Just finished pulling and painting all of the plastic (waterfall and door switches). For the life of me, I cant figure out how to get the plastic covers off of the steering wheel, the ones that control volume, channel, etc. I'm thinking that I need to pull the center air bag/horn pod out first, but not sure. I seached and could not find a thread that gave instructions. Anyone here know how they come off? Thanks in advance.

Pardoni, glad you got sorted out.

Watch out for the left plastic with the audio controls, it is a _____.
Check out my painted parts write-up for how to remove the controls. You have to really strip them all down to get them out and it is a real pain.
