I didn't like putting screws into the cup holder so I used velcro inside the cup holder. A large piece cut to the round diameter size. Seems to be holding pretty solid. I imagine would be as solid as the screws.

Have not had it in warm weather though so i do not know what the glue on the velcro will do when its very warm in the car.

 

Let's say I would want to take out the armrest, would there be any visual holes where you can see on the center cup holder?

 

so the yaris and the xd have the same armrests?
