The xD comes stock with the rear sitting a little higher than the front. It is much more apparent when larger wheels are placed on the vehicle. We gave the rear of the vehicle a slightly larger drop resulting in a more balanced look.

^ i searched their site a bit, it claims around a 5% increase in stiffness. if so, that's not enough for me. a drop, to me, should be much tighter to stock, but i guess a lot of people just want the lower ride.

Youre correct, in general the NF springs increase springrates by approximately 5% and the DF increase springrates by 10-15%. For a street car it is not practical or functional to increase the springrates drastically. The street has imperfections that are not encountered on a race track. If springrates are increased too much on a street application, the vehicle will actually become unstable and handling will diminish. We spend alot of time and energy in the R&D process to ensure that the proper ride is obtained.

to each his own. my 300zx is my daily driver and i installed springs that were pretty stiff compared to the oems. some of us like the stiffness, but then again, the xD isn't exactly a sports car ;)
