We have had discussions about Scion colors in our yearly Scion Roundtable meetings....downfall is that the Scions get painted at a Toyota plant and they can't make any "special" colors due to cost. They pretty much have to use colors that are already being used on Toyotas. We've told them people want differnet, origional and bright colors, but due to cost of making a whole new batch of paint just for a few cars isn't cost effective in the end. Maybe things will change down the road...we can keep our fingers crossed!

pretty much the same as Sundance Metallic on the Toyota Matrix
I would love to see ALL Scions made in crazy colors- not just the release series ones.

I've never seen a yellow, green, or torched penny Toyota or Lexus out there. Are you saying those three RS xB colors are stock colors for some Toyota or Lexus out there? I think not. Toyota has just gotten cheap.

Actually the Envy Green was a Toyota Color that was used only in Africa.. Remember while we might not see the color in the US it could of been used somewhere else..

I know Scion has had lots of talks about colors and what the palettes hold at the plants. The cost to convert is huge from what I am told, but at some point they will run out of colors... They are close now thats why you see the repeats we are seeing. Sucks, I know, but hopefully they will change it at some point

That really doesn't sound like much - unless they're relying on the Nav to be most of the "value."

Again with the "special" wheels covers. That is just f-ing retarded... I'm sorry. Just sad.

Next time you're at one of those little pow-wows you can tell those idiots that the Toyota Ist version of the xD in Japan comes in a very nice shade of Purple. All they have to do is slap some xD badges on it and sell those over here instead of just reusing old "special" colors. And the best part is that since it's a regular color over there it isn't going to affect costs.

Amazing how none of those retards at Scion can figure that out yet

Add: Wow, even the Urban Cruiser version sold in Europe can get the Purple.

I think it's a no brainer to use this color for the Release Series. Now if someone at Scion actually had a brain........

I figured we didn't see the colors in the US, I just didn't say so.

They DO have better color options in other countries, and they ARE stock colors, so that's a load of bull that they won't bring them to us in the states. The iST purple is a lovely color which I would really love to have as an RS color. There are no RS Scions that are purple, and its better than another green color which has already been done, just in a different shade.

The iST also has a pearl white color available as well (which was the RS 3 tC I think). There should be NO issue with Toyota using those colors on US bound xDs, since they are made in Japan. Just hearing about we in the States get a limited color pool ticks me off because they're labeling us car owners as bland or not wanting better color options.

Scion/Toyota better wake up before they find their buyer market drifting to other car makers.

the yellow is now used on the Yaris (maybe was something new back then for the Scions), and the Torched Penny is now being used on the Venzas. And from what the last guy said I guess the Envy Green came from Africa, maybe the yellow did too?

The Torch Penny actually is not on the Venza. Looks Similar, but you are either thinking Sunset Bronze or Golden Umber on the Venza.

Solar Yellow from the xB came from the 2000 - 2005 Celica, 2001 - 2005 Lexus IS Model, 2003 - 2008 Matrix, 2000 - 2005 MR2, 1991 - 1995 MR2

... The Yaris is Yellow Jolt

colors are boring cuz those are the colors that are sold the most. Let's see, Chels has silver, I picked grey you guys should float the Carview more often so you can see what colors are most popular. white, silver, grey, red for the new Ist. still will be mint green for those not good with fancy color names...here, let me help. Toyota does have a OEM green

Jasper green looks like mint green to me. we can't be saying toyota is getting cheap. the economy is in the sh!tter. everyone has been going cheap. wait til CHina gets finished with Hummer...
