Default 2011 XD Headrests

New to the forum.....Just purchased a 2011 XD after owning a Toyota Yaris hatchback for a couple of years..

So far so good with the vehicle....A few comments comment though...

1 - You can not lower the rear seats with the headrests!! They are to tall and hit the front driver and passenger seats....

2 - The turning radius feels as if there should be another 1/2 turn to the steering wheel.

3 - The XD seems to wander a bit on the highway...

Any comments or similar experiences out there... Obviously I am comparing the XD to the Yaris which I have driven most recently.

Thanks in advance and look forward to being a member.......

on my 09 you can lower the headrests into the seat so that the top is nearly level, is that different on the 11? i've never had a problem dropping my back seats, and i sit with my seat all the way back and partially reclined because im 6'3 and around 300 lbs.

I cant really comment on this. It turns much better than my old colorado that literally took an entire 2 lane highway with turning lane and shoulders to do a u-turn, so dont really have much to compare

Ive felt my xD get pulled around a little on the highway, but I've had this problem with every small car and small truck I've driven. I'm surprised if you find it worse than your Yaris.

I need to move my drivers seat up a few notches to lay the rear seat down, but then I can move it back. Turning radius never bothered me. The wandering on the highway I can agree with. I just got new tires and a good alignment and it still wanders a bit, but a lot of cars do... Especially ones with short wheelbases. My Golf was steady as a rock, but that's German engineering for you.

the rear seats i can't really comment on because i sit closer to the dash than most. the turning radius i will agree that it's huge, i don't know if there is a way to fix that because the wheels on our cars are so large (i had a 96 honda accord, and my turning radius was a bit tighter). as for wandering my car has felt a lot more solid after i lowered it.

Thanks for the responses....

Yes the headrests are different on the 11, they dont lower to seat level..I will get a pic up in the next few days...

The Yaris was much tighter on the highway believe it or not...so was the turning radius..I could park that thing anywhere in one move...

But the XD blows it away lookwise
