2013 Scion xD Info!

Maybe it's not dead quite yet after all:

July Press Release from Toyota:

For 2013 the Scion xD receives additional driver and front passenger seat cushion airbags and improved one-step force limiters for the seat belts. The 2013 xD speedometer replaces a black gauge face with a white gauge face and revises the trim around the air conditioning control dials and cup holders. The xD exterior is revised with a smoked color headlight housing and an available two- tone exterior paint treatment that combines Blue Streak Metallic and Black Sand Pearl for the roof (pricing TBD). The 2013 Scion xD price has been increased by $400 to $16,545 (AT) and $15,745 (MT) for 2013 (2.5 percent for AT and 2.6 percent for MT). Pricing for the 2013 Scion xD becomes effective August 1.

Since Scion can't change the wheel covers after five years, it cries out for black plastidip wheel covers as well.

I'm not sure how I feel about the two tone, but I'd sure take a set of those smoked headlights. I wonder what type of ridiculous price they'll be from the dealer?

No mention of powertrain upgrades. If that is the case, kill it. No car should have a 4-speed auto for the 2013 model year.

even with the upgrades if you can call it that they will continue to sit on dealer lots. im guessing the two tone look is scions way of saying there will be no release series.....
