Default All I want to find....

... is an xD, Super White, 5 spd, no options. Cant find one at a dealership anywhere around me (SoCal) in any color with or without any options. There are automatics galore. I am wondering if all of the manual trannies sold out and Scion is holding back the 09's until the 08 stock is depleted.

Oh, and BTW... HI!

If you don't mind getting a D from the SF Bay Area you may want to contact Toyota 101 in Redwood City.

Well I would do what Zefoxe says and have them order you what you want. Where in SoCal are you? If you're close to Rancho Santa Margarita I would go to the Toyota dealer up there. Much better than Tustin and Power imho.

I just picked up my new xD today, manual. The sales guy said Scion stopped making the manuals in preparation for the 2009's. He said I got one of the last ones. The other 2 xD's that are coming in are already sold.

Stopped making manuals? That is so weird! What could be so different between 08 and 09 that they stop making manuals??

Straaaaange!

Ok.. I might not have it exactly word for word, but I understood that they were basically not making any more manuals for 2008.... hopefully I havn't caused any confusion by stating the above. You may want to ask your specific dealer for clarification.

When I bought my mustang this same time of year in 2001, it was real hard to find a manual then as it's almost toward the end of the year for the model year and the manufacturers start preparing for the next year. I could find automatics all day. At the time, they were basically making only the Cobra's with the manuals... of course, they also were in the process of changing transmissions... but this is a Scion board, not Mustang,
