Default another auto lock door problem

Has anyone left there car running and shut the door(unlocked) to go into a corner store only to come back to your car and the doors locked them self? Thankfully it was only less then a 1/2 a mile from my house but has anyone else had this situation happen to them? I am definitely going to mention this to my dealer when I bring it in for it's first oil change...

Has not happened to me with the xD, but I'm very careful with this kind of stuff - girl's car has aftermarket alarm that has a tendency to auto-lock all the time, so I usually leave the window open if the keys are in the ignition.

You know, maybe vfrjim has a newer "firmware" and the autolock functionality actually works - the one that they talk about on the website video...

i have no idea what your talking about
but at any rate i don't like the idea of the car locking if the key is in the ignition
unless it's moving maybe...

I was only in long enough to purchase a poweball ticket and there was no one in the store so it was less then 2 minutes.

I have to assume that when you open your door that it unlocks the lock, correct?

Also, the autolocks that I mentioned in my other thread has not been looked at by my dealer yet, kinda lazy lately and my locks do not auto lock when I drive over 15 MPH or put it in gear(I have an automatic).

Also, I did notice with my car that if you unlock the car with the remote and do not open the doors that within 3 minutes, the locks automatically lock them self

I've noticed that on my xD actually. My dad commutes from LF to LA on the train for his work and when I have the car idling or off at the station, it will lock itself after a minute or so. Its pretty annoying since I'm in the car and when I open the door the alarm goes off!

About leaving the keys in the car and it on... I'd never do that. I am so paranoid about someone stealing or mugging me or anything lol. I always lock the car and put away my keys before I get too far from it.
