Hey guys. I was just wondering if any of you all have bought an armrest for the xD. So far i've seen two different kinds. One i found on Ebay and the other i just found searching through google when i typed in xD armrest. They are fairly similar in price. I was just wondering on other people's experience and which is more comfortable and what not. I really need one because i always lean on the armrest in my other car and this car feels way to weird without one. Anyways let me know

We're still waiting to see if Scion comes out with one.

 

I thought Scion did make the one that is out now, or soon to be out. I was told that it would take the place of the cupholder behind the e-brake. Not sure if it has a cupholder built in or not. To me in the pictures it looks... funny. Not sure how it will function or if it'll be stable (no wiggling when bumped).

 

I don't know why they just didn't add one.

I heard that Scion was going to come out with one but have not see it on their website yet.

If anyone has one of the other ones I'd love to know how they like it.

 

are you kidding me? after all the talk about why they didn't add one stock in the xBs, they didn't bother to add one to the very xB -like xD?!?

I bought the one off Ebay. A bit shorter than what I expected but is workable and holds quit a bit. Instalation is quick It just wedges between the seats. I have had no problems with it.

someone hooked up w/ parts lookup and some spare time needs to start looking for part numbers, if the projected date from the accessories displays is true, it's coming up.

 

what about a yaris armrest? dont the yaris and xd have identical center consoles?

there is a seat-mounted armrest for the xA that probably works for the xD as well, i dont remember what its called but when i get my xD that is the way im going with it. The seat-mounted armrest doesn't feel flimsy like the oem xAs, and it covers the whole area between the seats, so big guys like me can lean on it comfortably while still sharing with the passenger. looked OEM as well.

 

yanno, I'm looking more and more at the one I posted ... it looks very functional... it almost seems to fold up, in a standing position, which would cover the cup holder. But it seems to remedy that by having one of those push out cup holders, like in front of the passenger seat.

If your arm rest mounts like the first gen xB .. i have a guy here on LI who is looking to sell 2 different ones that he had for his first gen xB. He is selling them dirt cheap.

 

So anyone pick one up? I'm going to purchase one soon and i haven't seen any other than the one posted above and a leather one found on Ebay. Leather just wouldnt match so if worse comes to worse i'll have to pick up the one posted above. I think they actually raised the price to 125.

 

Go check out the dealer closest to you and see if they have any on some xD's in the showroom. I'll be doing that when I want my armrest. No way in hell am I going to buy the ripoff version on eBay. You can tell the difference if you look at the armrest picture on the Scion xD Accessories page.

 

I don't think fall batch of accessories is out yet. My pedals covers were on pre-order since August and are still not available...

 

Didn't say they were out yet ;) They do seem slow to put out accessories of any kind out for the xD though.
