Default Car Cover

I ordered my 2010 super white xD 2 weeks ago. It should be arriving around the second week of October. I can't wait!

Since I can't claim squatters' rights to my girlfriend's carport just yet, I'm planning on buying a car cover to protect from the Atlanta sun and the occasional hailstorm. I was wondering if any of you have any experience with the covercraft products offered for the xD? I am thinking of getting the Noah fabric as it seems like the one best suited for my needs.

Also, are there any other manufacturers anyone has experience with and could recommend? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you're looking to protect it from dings, the Covercraft Noah is one of the best. If you're looking to protect from water/snow/ice, Weathershield is one of the best. Just make sure it's not a 'dust cover,' as those are strictly for indoor use.

Thanks for the reply. I had actually been looking at buying from this very merchant as I have been happy with their service from previous experiences. Just to make sure, there have been no exterior changes from the 2009 model year to the 2010 year right? This way I can order a cover for a 2009 xD and have it fit my 2010(they don't show 2010 being an option for the cover yet on the autoanything site).

No changes between 09-10 as far as the body goes. Also,o dds are you'll have to fold down or remove the antenna when you put the cover on.

I just checked on the AutoAnything site out of curiosity. On the "features" list for the Noah cover it says The Noah Car Cover is equipped with grommets for a tie-down cable and the antenna. I guess I lucked out there.

About 8 years ago, I had a Dodge Ram on which I had to unscrew the antenna every time I covered it up. Then I had to put an empty film canister on the stud to keep it from tearing the fabric. It was a real pain especially when the breeze kicked up with the cover being so large. I'm looking forward to putting a cover on a small car this time.

Cool, I know the one I plan on buying for my S2K doesn't have an antenna thing. Then again, the antennas on the xD's fold down so it doesn't really need anything for it.
