Default Electric problems

The cooling fan went out and I took it to a mechanic to replace. The guy blew something. Power steering, windows, abs, radio, speedometer, and idk what else, are all out. And suggestions on where to start? A main relay or fuse board or something? Thanks in advance for the help.

Horrible!! That's why I do all my own work!

You'll want to track down and undo whatever he did 1st. Otherwise it'll keep on blowing fuses. Lots of mechanics are boomers who don't understand modern electrics. One common misconception is you apply power to activate things. No! Most circuits are pre-energized and you connect ground to turn them on. Had one guy rewire my injector harness to be grounded full-time thinking ECU sends +12v pulses to fire injectors. Ended up frying my injectors and harness.

Look for any additional non-factory wiring and remove. Look for shorting wiring where they may be crimped together.

Then pull and measure every single fuse in both fuseboxes. Also fusible links. I'd be trillionaire if I had penny for every time I heard, "fuse looks ok" but actually didn't conduct any electricity.
