Yeah, I'm going to add that for sure. I think I've settled on ordering a few things from TDI Sparks: floor/trunk mats, LED tails, cargo cover, and sway bar (since it is so easy to install). I'll order that stuff as soon as my new check card comes in the mail. Other than that, I'll be waiting until the end of December for my car to arrive... blah!

UPDATE: Apparently there won't be any magnetic gray 5-speed xD's with VSC coming into the country unless I special order it, which could take 2 months or more. My salesman found a barcelona red, and if all goes well it will be mine in a few days!

PS: I liked the Barcelona red but my fiancee didn't... too bad for her!

TDI? Your mind is still in the Golf.

Sparks is the BEST source of TRD parts. The prices are great and the service and shipping are predictable and quick.

TRD, TRD, TRD, TRD, TRD...

Okay... I think I'm cured.

Stopped by the dealership this morning and they are going to try to get that BRM xD today or tomorrow. Hopefully it is actually still available. I should know by noon today!

Ooooooo!!! They said a dealership in VA has the one I want. A salesman over there said it is available, but they still need to talk to the "trade manager" to get the deal done. If all goes well, I'll be driving home in an xD tomorrow night! I really hope it happens, because I have to go out of town this weekend and I'd much rather drive a new xD than a 2000 Honda Civic.

Wish me luck!

Good news and bad news...

Bad news is my car won't be ready today.

Good news is that it is still at port, not at the VA dealership it was headed for... so the car will be re-routed to Annapolis and won't have any miles on it when I pick it up!

It -should- be here around next friday. I think I can wait another week...

Stopped by the dealership this morning (hey, I got nothing to do for 1½ hours after I drop my fiancee off at work). We're waiting for the xD to be "flipped" (to go from "port" status to "shipping" status). Once it gets on the truck, it'll be here in a day. Could get here as soon as tomorrow... but I'm not holding my breath.

On the brighter side (pun intended), my LED tails should get here today!

You mean for the front plate? What do you recommend... putting the plate elsewhere? I'm fine with the front plate on the bumper, so long as they don't put it on crooked or off-center.

Got my car home! I installed the floor/trunk mats, cargo cover, cabin air filter, and LED tail lights. It rained all day and it's going to snow tomorrow... what a week to get a new car!

Easy. They come with instructions (or you can get them on TRD Sparks web site. Basically:

1) Unplug the harness
2) Take off 2 10mm nuts
3) Pinch the white clip and push
4) Pull it off from the outside

You have to pull kind of hard because there is another clip that comes out of a plastic socket. If you screw up the socket, the new lights come with replacements. Mine came off just fine. Installation is reverse of removal. I followed their recommendation and put blue painters tape in the bumper below the lights to avoid scratching the paint when I pulled them out.
