front bumper, headlight assembly, quarter panel, quarter panel mount, washer fluid resevoir, washer fluid lines, entire front right suspension assembly, including axle, rim/tire, engine subframe, hood, bumper reinforcement piece (foam), and probably some other ____ i'm missing lol.

@youngflyer

I'm giving them a call tomorrow to see whats up, so we'll see how it all goes. I'm hoping to hear it's totaled...HOPING lol and I'll check on what I can do about it if it isn't. MUAHAH

If they just repair it it's really going to hurt the resale value...I would be a little more vocal, but like you said its not your policy...Good luck!

We fortunately got a written warranty from Wondries stating that the vehicle maintains full value, so we don't have to worry about ANYTHING. HEW: thankfully.

Wait, what? What does that mean? Meaning are you going to get full value of the car or because you had a special deal you got when financing the car?

I want to get full value for my car if they want to total it Tell me how you got them to say that.

If im reading right,

It sounds like the shop doing TRD's work has a written warranty that the result of their body work will not deduce from the car's value.

Though i could be wrong.

I dont think thats possible...No matter what kind of work a shop does, carfax will still show that the vehicle has been involved in an accident and that will depreciate the value of a vehicle...I know when I shop for used cars, I always try to avoid ones that have been in an accident...

Im not hating on you TRD and I hope everything works out for you in the long run...

While you may never get the highest possible value by a NADA or KBB standard, that kind of value is not likely anyway.

what is it, something like 95% of cars fair into the medium value, and in my opinion, unless airbags deploy, and/or subframe/unibody damage has occured, most panels are going to be swap and bolt, and if you do that with OEM, then chances are, your car should look and feel the same for the most part.

Id honestly spend more on a vehicle that has meticulous maintenance and upkeep records, but that has an accident or 2 on its record, than an identical car that has 0 accidents on its car fax (which DOES NOT mean that it hasnt been in an accident), and has no real upkeep records.

anyways, sorry to write a small book on that one, just my .02.

keep us updated on everything TRD, hopefully you'll be out and motoring again soon.

Whoa. big string of comments hahah not a problem. xDtool was right the first time, "It sounds like the shop doing TRD's work has a written warranty that the result of their body work will not deduce from the car's value."

yeah, when I go to sell the vehicle, it's unlikely I'll be able to sell it for full KBB value, because no one wants to pay full price on anything lol but that doesn't mean that the car, now, is worth less.

Anyway, they're still fixing some issues and insurance stuff, but I got to test drive it the other day after all the suspension was worked on and everything seems PERFECT. Now theyre fixing cosmetics...it was kinda cool driving with no body panels rofl

That is really odd to have any dealer or auto shop make that kind of claim. Go back to them and have them explain it in full detail to you.

They did explain it to me;

Every part on the vehicle which was damaged, was replaced. Every part was replaced with an OEM, Toyota, piece. No damage was done to the unibody, the airbags did not deploy, the engine is fine, everything is straight, the car is realigned, and everything functions as if it had never been in an accident. Because the car was not deemed salvage title, the vehicle still holds it's regular value, whether it be sold private party or traded-in. Every single part on the vehicle which was replaced has a life time warranty, including the paint.

That's what I was told. They'll probably give me a small warranty booklet on everything

trd it wouldn't hurt to file for diminished value, it may take a day of work but its an extra $2000 in the bank!
