Default Oil change issue

I've done hundreds of oil changes over a 40 year period. Changed the oil on the 2014 XD last night. Was still a little warm and when I pulled the drain plug the oil didn't simply DRAIN out............it came out as if from a fire house, splattering into the drain pan and then 4 feet out of it. I have never seen anything remotely like this. Where did that kind of pressure come from? Ideas?

Plugged PCV. Pull it and clean it or else replace it. Very simple problem to fix.

Thanks for the replies but On a car with 5,000 miles? And I had the oil fill cap off so I don't think it was crankcase pressure.

Oil fill cap is on the head. PCV valves rarely fail, but they can be defective.

Default oil fill cap

OK, thanks, but I know where the oil fill cap is. When you remove it you release any pressure that might have built up in the crankcase from a defective PCV valve. The area underneath the valve cover shares a cavity (albeit oddly shaped) with the crankcase.
