The xD has a round plug in the dash, right behind the ignition switch. Does anyone know what accessory this is for? I'm thinking maybe fog lamps??

 

It's for the start button. It's a carry over from the ist .

 

What is the ist? It looks just like a place for a start button but this dash is on no other model that I know of.

Scion xD = Toyota iSt = Toyota Urban Cruiser.

I don't know if the Urban Cruiser uses a start button or a key... but there is at least one person on this forum who has added the start button. Check the interior/ICE section.

Man...I dont know if I could ever get use to that setup. Especially with a manual trany.

 

Man, the Japanese get all the cool gadgets! I would have gladly paid more to have all of those toys!
