I have a Diamond D6 12" 4 ohm with Eclipse amps being built into an enclosure right now for season. I <3 Diamond stuff.. going to upgrade to D3's when i'm able to do so for all 4 doors

Im looking at the D6 right now. silk tweets and what not. Is the ABS frame really rigid? i need something loud but that also will hold up. i like to be heard and felt coming down the block

What is the ABS frame. (New to the world of audio)

My friend is building the setup for me. He test fit the sub and hooked it up in his xB. He sent me a text saying my back window was going to fall out but it sounded beautiful. and he's an audio guy. I'm pretty new to stereo.. as I used to AutoX and never did any of this stuff. but now due to certain circumstances, I am only able to show now.

I would also like to point out that the D6 is EXTREMELY heavy lol

The ABS frame is the actual frame that the speaker itself is built it. supports the magnet and the butyl rubber is also attached to this. D6 is the model of the component speaker system not the subwoofer. Im using the JL audio 10W7. which are 27-28 lbs each. plus another 30-35lbs for my current sub box. its being rebuilt by me. possibly house 3 JL subs. powered by ALPINE PDX amps. there fed by kinetik audio batteries.

amps and speakers don;t have to be the same manufacturer. as long as you have someting you like and the power is sufficient enough to run them without harmonic distortion, you'll be fine with whatever you buy. I use Polk SR6500 in my xB with a Polk Momo 8 inch sub. amp is Kenwood 5 channel. but this is all for another topic. I have stock audio in my xD. Will prolly pillage the leftover audio from our tC1 we traded for a Prius

Yeah I know they dont have to befrom same manufacturer but its being built as a show piece and it looks better having all the amps looks the same. Very picky when it comes to this.
