Default reading vin numbers?

Can anyone tell me how to read my xD's vin numbers? Someone told me you can see what day of the week it was built on and other such things. Just thought it would be fun to see that kind of info.

Thanks!

ummm.. theres nothing in hte VIN that would tell u what day of the week it was built on... how would that be beneficial to a vehicle identification number?

VIN number is a 17 (i think) digit number that states where the car was built, what year, safety features and body style... some of the numbers are just for series, but no way theres a day of the week in it

Tadaa!!

^^^He's right: VINs do not tell you what week the car was manufactured. As far as dates go, it only tells you the car's model year.

Yahtzee! lol.

Well, actually that's a bit outdated (printed 2005) bec. the XD is still not there. But you get the picture. I'm sure they've already added it onto the 8th character listing by now. But it's weird the xA and the xB shares the same classification.
