So Cal xD RS 1 - Ultimate Shield
If you live in Southern California and are in the market for a professional shop to protect your car, then check out Ultimate Shield (www.ultimateshield.com) located in Orange County. Sean and his team performed the following to my RS 1 (refer to profile to view photo). Most shops would not take on a RS 1 with Clear Bra because there is no pattern for the xD DAMD kit. But Sean welcomed the challenge. The DAMD kit portion of the job was custom and turned out awesome.
*3M Clear Bra (full front bumper, fenders, hood, mirrors, rocker panels, partial roof, a-pillars, luggage, headlamps, all door edges, all door handles)
*Paint Shield
*Fabric Schield
*Window Tint (50%-Windshield, 35%-doors, hatch)
*Windshield Protection

I got it done on my car up here, having issues with the kit and the dealership isn't doing anymore of them, but, they are working with me to get it fixed and offered some of our money back, and/or accessories that I may want if I'm still not happy with it. We'll see how this one turns out.
Man I can't even see it... Sweet. Have a couple of rock dings already
Nothing big but when you wash and pay attention it is surprising how quickly you find little dings. Even the bugs cause dings.
And nice tint BTW!

Hey, nice job.
I was thinking of this for my RS, but couldn't afford it when I got the car.
Does anyone know if I can get a clear coat now (2 months after I got the car)? The car has a few chips in the hood...and I really just want to prevent it from happening anymore.
Would i need to get the paint fixed up completely first?
Any idea on cost? A ballpark answer is fine. I know it varies from shop to shop.
