Today is MONDAY! It is 8:22am EST! Needless to say I am ecstatic that I am picking up my car today! The dealer guy had about 5 pick ups before 11am EST this morning so I do have to wait a little longer :-( . I am planning to go up to the dealer around 12n-12:30. So I only have 4 hrs and 5 min! Going to make sure everything is cleaned out of my old car and all the paperwork is in there. We will probably post pictures when I get it!

So... we just got back from the dealer... again.

She got the xD today. Strange story to go with it though.

The one they were going to give her initially apparently had a big scratch on the hood - which they found out today. BUT they actually had another 2009 manual SSM on the lot (go figure). So they just switched them and she was able to get the same exact car - minus the scratch.

I went with her while she signed all of the papers and everything and then she dropped me off at home (had to go back to work) and she is now out driving around... going who knows where.

I'm sure she'll be on later to share her excitement... just a little too preoccupied at the moment. As you could expect...

I used the college grad thing when I got my tC 4 yrs ago... but the rebate was only $400 then. It's $1000 now.

So, as you have heard, I got my XD today. It is AWESOME!... I got to the dealer and just wanted to take my car, but of course had to sign all the legal documents. I drove A LOT today. I went pretty much everywhere. I did get some errands done though..pictures will be coming soon...on our way to dinner I noticed that a bird pooped on my car...no worries though (and no pics) it's been cleaned up and looks brand new again.

At the time I got my xD, they didn't say anything to me about the college graduate rebate Then a few months later I got a flier about the deal in the mail. Sucks!

Gotta love that new car smell

Ya, they won't tell you about it. I had printed off something and taken it with me when I bought mine. The sales guy knew nothing about it and even the finance guy had to look it up to find out exactly what was included. That's the sad thing about most Scion dealers. They are not educated about the services. Then again, it's usually hard enough to educate them about the cars.

Yea I would love to go back and get the $500 they were offering after I got my car.

It's pretty irritating to walk in to a dealer and go to the Scion area, talk to the sales guy about the car and have them say "Release series? What do you mean? Special Scion editions?"

Well the $1000 just started on Friday - literally. Before Friday it was $400. And it only lasts until the end of Sept, apparently - presumably going back to $400 after that.

Our dealer still has 2 08 RS 4 tCs on the lot... brand new. Both auto though. And they have one RS 6 xB in the show room and are getting an RS 5 tC soon. They at least know what those are but I don't think they know much about them. Just that they're different.
