The Toyota Blade has been revealed and it looks to be the new xD. The body lines on the Blade are very similar to those of its direct competitors, the Versa and Fit, while also keeping some of the basic design elements of the current xA. What the Blade lacks is the Yaris inspired design cues that the Auris (which is what the Blade is based off of) emulates so profoundly. Though Autoblog.com displays the vehicle with the 2.4L in use, I doubt we will see it.

The front looks very Nissan-ish, I like it. It would look way better without that side molding though.

It appears that the Scion xD is based on the Toyota Blade, given what we know from the descriptions of people who saw the xD at the Miami unveiling.

I think you Miami winners were told to say N-O to all things that resembled the real xD and xB. I still think its the Blade... or perhaps the Auris.

Of all the vehicles I see on this page, the Blade has got to be the closest to what we saw in Miami, but it is not the same vehicle, just the same basic shape.

xA = Toyota ist

first-gen xB = Toyota bB

The tC was the first Scion developed specifically for Scion. The new xB is as well, but I am holding out that the new xD could still be a rebadged Toyota... And there's nothing wrong with them doing that, so long as it is not available in North America.

 

I didnt say it is the Ractis and again I wasnt there but someone said that the xD has the room our orignal xb had and ive seen the dimensions for the Blade/Auris and its not even close, the Ractis on the other hand is pretty close in room so I thought maybe its related to the xD not a carbon copy of it. Picture this with out the hideous fabric pattern and with a scion style interior.

nmo harm taken its awesome either wasy its a lil close yes but i feel the xd will impress many many scion owners as well as toyota owners wait dont 4get the box that xb is kool as well and yes xd is as big as original xb however i feel the new xb might be considered a suv? ,maybe i def know my insurance co wont call it a staionwagon any longer lol

 

The only part of that I like is the steering wheel. All else is hideous.
