Trucker's Strike?
Hey all. I'm eagerly awaiting my RS xD and it was supposedly due in last week. The dealer told me that the truckers that drive in new scions/toyotas went on strike and it would be in, in a week or two later (because they supposedly hired a new company to take over). But still no news about it...
Called my dealer today and he said that my xD is supposedly right in NJ now and his dealership tried to go up and pick up the cars themselves, but they were not allowed to do this. He is hoping it comes in tomorrow (monday) because he really wants to give it to me by the end of the month.
Anyone else suffering from this trucker's strike?

That's so strange, cause it took a week and a half before we got our xD when it landed in the port of Long Beach. When it arrived at the port, they said it will take about 3 days to get to Tucson. Then it was delayed because Scion wanted to make sure that all the dealers got the RS1's around the same time. Well we got the car 3 weeks ago. Strange they haven't hit the east coast yet. But people in Washington haven't gotten theirs yet either. Oklahoma got number 6 and 7.
In Houston I picked up my RS1 and they had 8 coming in (1 per week starting next week). His next RS1 wasn't to arrive for another 5 days, but another one showed up 5 days early. The dealer was quite surprised, but he can't keep them on his lot longer than a few days. They are getting shipments all the time of tCs, xBs and xDs.
i remember watching the news and seeing I95 NJ filled the turnpike rest stops up back in April.
trucks don't run too much through my town but i know last time i headed up toward NY their are less trucks on the road then usual

I've been waiting for three weeks myself, the car has been at the port for that long, dealer sent me an email with invoice no. and vin Thurs. and said it shipped from the port that day, but still no call, yet, they have them up in Seattle, seen them on trucks heading north last week, getting frustrated, a buddy up north will have one before me, grrrr.
