whoa, that looks pretty nice. my last car had a sunroof (honda civic ex) but those come stock with them. i dont know if i like the idea of someone cutting a big whole in my roof. i would worry that it would leak or weaken the structure...

that would be a nice option for the xd though...

well...the fact that a civic or virtually any other car has an option for a sunroof/moonroof should tell you that theres no structural degeneration by the addition of one

however, my only worry is this: a friend of mine had a ford explorer, and her husband and her decided to get an aftermarket moonroof installed. well....the parts for the aftermarket one aren't as compact and easily hidden as the OEM versions, so the ceiling sat a full 4 inches lower to hide the mechanical pieces....her husband couldn't fit in the car anymore haha. that would be my only cause for concern in this...

Jeff, a friend who has worked in auto repair and now does car work on his cars and for friends , would always say about aftermarket sunroofs, THEY LEAK. However, the Upgrademytoyota site seems to offer some pretty nice (but pricy) stuff.

My take is- you get what you pay for. If you really want a sunroof, be ready to pay the bucks.

FWIW- I think Toyota has always offered quality sunroofs – I had one in my first car-a 1987 SR5 and also in our 1998 Camry. Never had any sunroof issues in either of these cars. Had the SR5 for 12 years- still have the Camry. I guess I could add this to the wish list for the next generation XD-

Ooooh that is mucho nice! The one installed in the RS looks very clean, I like it. Need to find someone that has done this so I can know if I should start saving

And I'm also curious to know what FWIW means.

Have you adjusted the swivel at the mount? It has a joint at the mirror and at the mount. Had the same issue (6'1") until I adjusted both. Made it much better.

I'm surprised no one has said this yet - AWD optional. Doesn't it come on the xD euro version? Maybe it'd add too much weight, but I'd totally be down nonetheless.

Also, sun/moon roof factory option would be awesome for this, I just don't trust aftermarket for something like that, even if it's endorsed by the dealer. Oh, and proper seat adjustments. I think that's my biggest problem with the xD.

Whats DRL and FWIW?

Edit: Oh, and an optional push button start would be great. Something like you get 2 new keys and a button (for that hole under the ignition) that plugs into the PCM, then a quick flash and boom... push button start.

AWD is a separate drivetrain option for both the iSt (japan) and Urban Cruiser (uk)

Oh yes, I would LOVE an AWD option. I have doggies and we go hiking all the time, it would be nice to have that peace of mind out on the dirt roads
