Default Where to Buy Ipod Cable? (Plus no other xD's on the road!)

Hey... just bought a Super White xD. HA! No one else around here has one. I swear, I haven't seen even ONE xD on the street yet. People must be saying, "Hey... what the $@#! is THAT!?!?" Pretty fun.

Anyway... can someone please tell me:

1) If I can use ANY mp3 player in the xD. I have a water-resistant HYDRA mp3 player that I take to the gym mostly.

2) Where to get the cable.

Thank you!

Yes you can use any MP3 player, you just need to pick up a 3.5MM cable from Best Buy or any place like that. Just plug it into the headphone reciever on the MP3 player and the other end into the AUX port in your xD.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...4771&CatId=453 - here is the cable you need at a whopping $2.99 .

furthermore, you CAN use any mp3 player. right now, when i dont have my laptop connected to the radio(for navigation/music/movies) , i use my creative zen for music.

physically, it's seriously smaller than a typical usb thumb drive..... very nice! ^_^

I say this because i use my laptop in my car for navi on long trips and plug my laptop into the aux port. streets and trips 2008 (the navi software i use) talks like "in 1 mile, take exit 23" etc etc.

basically any audio that your laptop plays will come through all of the speakers in the car. you can watch a movie and, seriously, it's like surround sound in the box! the stock system is pretty damn good for stock!

just a thought.

Also, you should have got an iPod cable with your car. If you didnt you should go back to the dealer and ask for one. They should be included.

Wait, are you saying you got a non iPod player to display text on the head unit? Are you also saying that you could skip songs with the steering wheel controls with something besides an iPod? This would be shocking to me because I thought Pioneer had a license to display Apple's players only.

I happen to dislike iPods. This would be great to know. Although I somehow doubt it.

I've had my xD for a little over a month now and just saw the first one besides mine on the road this week. Too bad it was the same color as mine, magnetic gray.

With iPods being so cheap these days it makes sense to just get one and take full advantage of the stock radio's interface. Really.

Were you able to get your zune connected through the ipod dock? I have to go through the aux input right now, and it sounds like crap. There's absolutely no bass coming through from the Zune.

it was the same for me. i had to go through the aux. it's crummy sound, but my ipod puts out better sound than the zune even with headphones. so, i can't really blame scion or pioneer for that

I've found the exact opposite. My zune puts out way better sound than any ipod I've ever listened to.
