Where can I get directions for installing an AC filter?

Where can I get directions for installing an AC filter?
I don't want to pay the dealer a stack of cash to do this. So anyone who has done it, would you please tell me/us? Also, which filter (other than OEM) fits the xD? Thanks!

I went to home depot and bought an air filter that was almost the same width, 8", and just cut it down to fit. Right now its a little bit under 7" x 8" and it fits just fine. The filter I bought had wire on one side and then cardboard crosses on the other. With the lenth of the filter, I can get 2 more out of it 
When I first went around looking for filters I stopped at PepBoys and they didn't have either an xA or xB filter! So I said screw it I'll make my own and save $5.
