xD, uh, I mean Urban Cruiser on sale in UK
The car market is SO bad right now, I wouldn't expect significant aftermarket support for some time. The xD is not a big seller and the fact that it is being marketed as a mini-SUV doesn't help enhance the concept of xD as a tuner car.
The funny thing about this thread is that, when my wife first sat in it, she remarked how it sat so high "sort of like a mini-SUV". It's true, the stock car is a high riding stagecoach (as is the Yaris hatch). $1000 is all it takes to turn the xD into a car - and it's a pretty impressive little car when the stock attributes are corrected.
TARDIS
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The current TARDIS prop. The TARDIS[1][2] [ˈtɑː(r)dɪs] (help·info) (Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space)[3] is a time machine and spacecraft in the British science fiction television programme Doctor Who.
^Just cuz I had ZERO clue what a Tardis was. Guess that makes me a REtardis. LOL.
OK BACK TO TOPIC... Do most of you out there see it as a good sign that toyota is selling BASICALLY the exact same vehicle? I do. I think it means that they plan to use the body shape/platform well into the near future. I mean as far as I know the UK/Europe has never had a an xD,IST/UrbanCruiser sold to them before...right? I think the fact that there is some longevity for our model in the forseeable future (the launch of the UC in the UK as a good omen) ultimately means that there is at least a good chance our aftermarket will continue to grow, especially being on 3 major continents now.

[quote="Bender_xD"]not to add insult to injury or anything but uh, i just took a closer look at the interior pic and i ALSO SEE....
-FRIGGIN PUSH BUTTON START
-and 6 FRIGGIN SPEEDS on the shifter!
no iPod hookup though
whatev
BTW, is that little vent thing below the middle HVAC pod some kind of temp sensor?
Does anyone think we can swap these HVAC controls "simply", I know ANYthing is possible, but...?
this interior pwns, i'm shocked. [quote]
Just an fyi, the push start button looks very similar to the 2008 Lexus 350 (i believe this is the series). Also, the door lock buttons on the 2008 xd on the arm rest are the exact same ones as in the Lexus. Interesting how they use similar parts on the cars.

For the auto-a/c,you would likely need to swap the entire heater box (with heater & evaporator cores) as it would need the mode-door motors for changing from floor/vent/defrost too. I don't know what that means on an xD, but on most other vehicles it means taking out most of the dash, evac the a/c system, and usually quite a few rattles once you're done.
