Question Fair price for install of TRD springs?

Between school and work I'm kinda short on time to have my car down for a prolonged period of time. I work at a tire shop so I was thinking about paying one of the mechanics in cash and see what he can do. What would be a fair offer for the mechanic?

If it's a guy you know for a job on the side... I'd say about $100 because he should be hooking you up with a deal.

If you don't really know him very well and he is just offering to be nice and help you out, probably $150-$200. Definitely no more than that.

That's too much, compared to other dealers...

I had a friend of a friend who works for a shop do mine. I just waited until after the shop closed and rolled by. Charged me 100 bucks and they did it in an hour because 2 of them worked on it at the same time.

Have any of you guys gotten warranty flak for installing things like springs, anti-sway, etc yourself or having a non-Toyota shop do it? I spent $950 for the factory 5/60 warranty and I don't want to waste it.

i believe that if you bring it in with a problem, as long as they cant prove that the problem was caused by a mod you did, then it wont void warranty
