Default Front strut tower or Sway bar?

Im trying to decide. its prob best to get both at the same time, but I prob wont, so I want your guys opinion on what to do first.

1. Get the TRD sway bar?

or

2. Get the Tanabe front strut bar?

personally i would do strut bar first if you can't get both at the same time since it's performance and visuals all in one.

If you did any searching, most of us will recommend a sway bar first. When I installed my progress from Curtislo (thanks curt!) it did not make a world of difference but it is noticeable. Bottom line, go with the TRD, tightest setting!

Strut bar is for looks. Toyota discontinued their front strut bar from the xD and the Yaris because it was proven to do nothing for the car perfomance wise.

makes it interesting to change the oil unless you have a long funnel and it does sit very close to the battery at one end.

Nothing that a little funnel tube you can buy for a dollar can't fix. They sell them in the counters in advance or pepboys w/e. But with out it. It can be slightly ticky if you dnt want any small spills

Yes but only at high speeds and even then the difference is small.

Default Top sway is added weight

And has NO BENEFIT whatsoever. The box construction and size of the car make the front sway just added weight. There is NO flex there and a bar will make that zero flex just a bit heavier - even around a HIGH G performance move for the record books. Your car will simply be a couple pounds heavier.

The rear bar doesn't help much either (although I do have one). The rear axle isn't one that benefits from a sway. I fell silly around guys who know cars, but cool among average xD owners. I have the TRD sway (and the complete TRD Sportivo suspension).

I agree about the front sway bar because the firewall is so close to the shock towers, but the xd suffers from under steer which can be circumvented by tightening up the rear suspension.
