Just FYI.. I was browsing www.optionsauto.com and found that they have Tokico HP's listed for the 08 up XD now. so it would seem that TRD is not the only option for sportier tuned shocks and struts anymore.

I had these on my 2005 Civic EX SE coupe and they lasted about 85k miles while I owned it, and are still on the car (installed at 50k miles and car currently has about 140k on it. My dad is the current owner.). And were pretty awesome.

youre going to wait till your stock shock/struts die? you know thats going to be quite some time right? unless you lowered it and you run it often (saw that you were sayin you took it up canyon)...i tried it once and as soon as my ABS started kicking in i backed off rofl....no way in hell am i going out on this thing with stock suspension/tires...

 

yeah I have tanabe spring on and yeah I have that problem to but if you learn how to take the corner with out turning really hard it do pretty will for me even know I can not keep up with my friend but they driving a lighter car so is different story

 

yeah that was my problem, i was trying to keep up with my friends and i wasnt paying attention to how i took my turns. but its okay..i learned from my mistake haha. and WOO tanabe! are you on DF's too?

Just threw a set of these on... combined with the TRD springs... sick!!! Shaved down the bump stops about 1/2"... much tighter feel... cut the nose dive during heavy braking... will have a longer review on microcarmag.com soon...

 

I probably should have shaved down the bump stop but I'm rockin em stock. glad to hear you got em installed!! gonna have a write up, or better yet, video of it up on scionmag?
