I recently had slip light indicatorcome on:


My mechanic suggested I change the steering angle sensor.
I picked up a used sensor online from another urban cruiser:


but after disassembly, the original reference is:




after fitting the second-hand sensor, the steering wheel became hard
is there a real difference between these two sensors?
the car seems to have two different sensors depending on the model
