first time car mod, question about rims
i just bought my special edition 08' xD yesterday and i'm looking for a decent set of gunmetal rims. and i was wondering what would work with the stock tires. the rims are looking at are 5x100 for the bolt pattern, 16x7 for the wheel with an offset of 40. would that cause any problem with the stock wheels? or could i install them without a problem

You should have no problem putting the stock rubber on that wheel, thats what I was going to do until I decided to go with 17's. What wheel are you looking at? There aren't too many choices in the 16's, thats why I'm bumping up one size.

Here is the gunmetal wheels I have. They will run the stock tire and the offset is +42 thats barely any difference. I will run them with the nf's. Just waiting on the 09 to come in next week.
If you want to know the color, its almost dead on the same as the magnetic gray xd, just a bit lighter. http://www.thewheelconnection.com/ph...&brandsearch=1
I really like the all black icw talons but did not see them until after I purchased the gunmetal.

THe price is nice and the pickings for 16's that are gunmetal or black without some huge machined lip is very slim.

i was looking at these first as 16s http://www.wheelmax.com/product.asp?ProdId=15545
but then i found these 17s http://www.elementwheels.com/proddet...kr595%2D1770gm
would i need new tires to fit the 17s? i like those a lot better than the 16s

alright, new question so i've decided on an entirely different set and i want to make sure they'll fit, the rims are 5x100,17x7 and 35 for the offset along with tires that are 205/50/17 is there going to be any problem with stretching or the offset?
