Question Need help on deciding which rims to go with.

I can basically get a large discount on Falken rims through the place I work and I'm just looking for opinions on which rim you think would look the best. Rim size will be 18inch and they are going on a white 09 xD.

Circuit Spec in gunmetal or silver.

Hanabi in satin silver or bronze.

Sceptor in gunmetal/machined or black/machined.

Torque 5 in silver, chrome, black/machined, gunmetal/machined.

Those bronze hanabis are pretty sweet. Not too common either.

ive had the falken hanabis for about 2 years on my DD XD, and they're a F'ing mess. the clear coat started flaking 3 months after i got them. finally getting them powder coated, only because any other wheel i like cost more than powdercoating does. stay away from falkens, not worth the trouble.

Most lower cost wheels are going to do this after a few months, including xxr/sportmax, drag, rota etc.

IMO, its what spraypaint and spray clear coat is made for

Puts out a decent finish and costs.... oh 15$ for materials

You get what you pay for. Companies like Falken and xxr put out some heavier, but more durable wheels that look pretty decent, and id recommend them for what they are any day of the week, and thats something for the not as hardcore enthusiast, and something for the person looking for a stepping stone wheel

Why didn't you use the warranty that came with the rims?

I had the same problem with my Hanabis on my old Accord. Like someone said, cheap wheels= cheap clearcoat.

You have 2 decisions to make basically:

Take the price you are offered them at, and be prepared to repaint/coat them later, or

Look at hte price, stack a few extra hundred bucks on top, and buy a better set of wheels.

The Hanabis are some nice, very lightweight wheels at an affordable price, so I liked them and dealt with it.

Another hting is that htey are not multi-directional. One side of the car will have blades going forward, and the other side will have blades going backward.

Well I can get them for 60 to 70 percent off retail so the deal would not be that bad. Anyone know the weight of the stock steel wheels?
