tC Wheels weight?
I am replacing my xD wheels (hubcaps) with tC wheels from a 05.
I was wondering, if anyone knew the weight of the factory 16 rim wheel?
I did some research and found out that the tC wheel with a tire is roughly 40-45lbs...19lbs the rim.
That's kinda a lot, there are 17in rim now a days hat weight less then 17 lbs.
Any info would leave me grateful.

are there lighter rims than the OEM tC rims, yes absolutely, but are the tC's rims considerably heavy? absolutely NOT. they're well made sturdy wheels with a pretty nominal weight to them. considering the lightest 17 in rims i'ver ever noticed (and i'm not a huge wheel aficionado BTW) is 15 pound enkei RPF1's. on the flip side, i've seen 18 inch Momo's that weigh nearly 30 pounds without even a tire on it. and AMG mercedes rims weigh 25 pounds without a tire.

Heavy wheels can help your ride....
Don't sweat the wheel weight so much....after reading a tech article at tire rack on effects of heavy vs light wheels i was a little concerned myself. But really wanting those wheels that weighted 28lbs!!! (WITH OUT TIRES!!) I found no negative effects. Remember we have electric power steering, we don't get much feed back from the steering wheel to start with. There isn't much difference between the ride with the new 18 vs the factory 16. Hope this helps.
