Default tire installation

so i bought 16" rims and i wanted to switch my stock tire onto them..
i went to walmart and the desk guy was very unprofessional.. he told me hed put me on the waiting list and then proceeded to give a high five and a booty smack to a girl passing by.. O_O anyways after waiting 10 minutes .. they said that they werent updated enough to do tire mountings to a 09 scion xD with tpms so i left. i checked out prices at other auto stores such as pepboys and sears and prices were near 100$$ i think that is too much =/
i called walmart again today and the person said that they could do it as long as i have the correct tire sizes -- which is what i thought. their prices are 3.50 per tire mount and 8.50 per tire mount with tpms. what is the difference? valve stems?

should i bring my car back to walmart and see what they can do? or is there another place taht is cheap, fast, and reputable that i could go to?

thanks alot

Yea, our TPMS are valve stems. I did the same thing as you did, and paid about 120 to have the old tires removed, valve stems moved, new tires mounted, balanced and mounted onto the vehicle. I didn't really find this a bad price, but if walmart is going to do it for prices like that, cant really beat it. Just make sure they know the tires are coming off of what I'm guessing is your normal driving wheels, so youre going to want to make sure they are getting balanced and mounted to the vehicle
