I've been looking for a good wheel that is light strong and cheap. I've seen the centerline storm, and they look ok and they're light about 15 lbs for the 17s which is what I want. Its kind of hard to find good looking wheels in our offset/bolt pattern that aren't expensive, heavy, too wide. Also I would like to know if powder coating is that expensive and what points can be given in what to look for when shopping for a place to have it done. Anyway just looking for an all around input.

when i was looking for light weight wheels for my xd i had actually looked at the centerline storm on their website. They look nice but they were priced to high for my budget but centerline does have quality wheels. I believe that bigger wheels on the xd only look good if the car is lowered. I got 18's for my xd but temporarily took them off because i didnt like that fender/tire gap. I will put them back on when i get my nf210 springs. I know nothing about powder coating

Not sure about the centerlines but I do know powdercoating usually runs about $50-75 per wheel. Thats prep included.

Depending on color, you might pay closer to $100 per. I want "chrome" pc, which is a two step process I guess and is substantially more expensive than a normal color/process.

Just look around on the net for PC'ers in your area. Also try craigslist. I have seen a few people trying to get business on there who cook the stuff in small ovens and charge half price.

Centerline is an American based company that makes forged wheels.
They are probably known more for their truck/suv wheels than for their compact car wheels.
They are a great alternative to expensive forged wheels from Japanese companies.
The downside is that the choice of wheel sizes and colors are sort of limited.
And I'm not sure if custom orders are available.
I had the RPMs in 17s on my Civic and I loved them.
If they made the RPM in 17x8 I'd buy a set for my car.

Thanks for the input guys. I see some postings on Craigslist for powder coating, and I see different methods of coating (thanks wiki). I've also seen the RPMs on centerline, they look good but I think I'm slightly more partial to the storm if I can get them powder coated bronze or copper color. Thanks again!

damn im alil late for input but yea 50-100 per wheel when it comes to powdercoating.. and some chance you can negotiate based on your wheel condition or how they rate it .. if you have like almost new wheels as in not many scratches and not having tires.. should be slightly cheaper.

Thanks for the info xd kidd91. I would buy em new and powder coat immediately. Looking at different shops right now. Finishing solutions seems to look the most professional of the sites I've visited and they are a chain, so odds are somebody likes them.
