So it can be removed but may mess with idle???
Does it have any other negative effects???
Will it ruin the engine or make anything else malfunction - Like lock it into open loop or sumthing?

take into effect what it does, it removes gas vapors from the gas tank. temperature changes can cause the tank to pressurize if it didnt have a way to vent so if u take the evap valve off make sure you still leave that hose open or find some way to get a small amount of vacuum but no boost.

only thing that can be removed is the T fitting, on the top of the T is a service port, its not a sensor, its a SERVICE PORT, a little cap that can be removed to plug in a pressurized line to check emissions........

I am also dealing with this rather annoying clicking/thumping noise coming from the port/sensor... i am running boost, and i do have a vac block. I am curious b/c of the fact that i am running boost will this sensor continue to act as a path to rid the tank of vapors or is there a chance that while under boost that it could allow a back flow of pressure into the tank?

-thanks

it is normally closed above idle, so no it cant leak boost into the tank (but anything is possible). There is a method to get rid of it but I haven't taken the time to do it since the ticking is annoying but not worth the hour or so to figure out the best method to bypass and remove it so we don't get a CEL. I'm lazy, sue me
