The only time you'll get any change in color, is when you see the lights from under the cutoff, which is very rarely.

I've already proven this. One bulb is 4300k, one bulb is 5000k.

It's impossible to tell which is which. They produce the same color, yet one bulb puts out less light than the other.

I noticed that on certain angles they look very identical. What my preference though and some others is to get rid of that yellowish hint of light and turning it to pure white. I tried some 5K bulbs on mine and they looked very close up front as i walk going around the projectors i kinda like the 5k better, the difference in output seems negligible.

here's some 4300K, they look very white but they're yellower in reality unless you go the angle close to the cut off.

haha sorry for the threadjack, just carried away by those baller quads lol...

oh by the way did you get to play with the haltech yet?

Carbon, it doesn't matter if there is a coating or not on the cutoff shield (that you can just use a high temp paint of your choice, flat black being optimal. The paint is to reduce glare). What gives you the color, or flicker, above/on the top of the cutoff line is spacing between the lens and cutoff shield. More space = more color. Also helps to have a clear lens as well, that is the first mod to any projectors in my opinion. Mine have a more color than stock for sure, but they aren't too modified to where I would lose output.

If you search around, I bet you can pick up those parts for cheaper. There are better options than the TSX for sure, but I digress. Sick quad setup nonetheless, I don't have a quad setup currently.

I've only heard about the coating on the cutoff.

And he doesn't have TSX, he has TFX. They're a hybrid between FX35 and TSX. FX35 projectors with a TSX clear lens, IMO, the best projector on the market. They use a TSX lens because the OEM FX35 lens is frosted, which distorts and reduces output.

He does have TSX projectors in the high beam location, so I was right about that. I am just teasing anyway. I know he probably didn't want to spend another $300+ to put s2k's in along with the TFX setup lol. I know a lot about the different combo's out there haha. TFX I know very well. Another big hit is the FX with the FX-replica lens from retrofitsource.com. That one is just drop in, no lens spacing needed. I could go on and on about projectors on there, but I don't want to thread jack. My favorites bixenon's are: TL, FX or FX replica, LR3, and Murano. My favorite single xenon's are SC430/rx330 hybrid (my frankenstein), RX330 (even better with shield mod), S2K, SC430, and LS430. All with clear lenses of course for uber sharp cutoff!

Looks like theretrofitsource.com's replica e-46 shroud. The highbeam one seems to be the same just cut to fit.

Please note that lightwerkz.net deals a lot with trs and uses their stuff for retro's, and still may call it a tfx even though it may be a fx-r or tfx-r lol I have read them state it on the forums.

so to clear up some things.....its a tsx in the high beam because the s2k did not fit...originally had them in but the bracket in the back would have to be modified so i used tsx instead...in the tsx there will be 3000k yellow 55w philips....as for the low beams there TFX only because I wanted the biXenon, otherwise it would have been s2k..the shrouds are e46 shrouds cut and modified to fit and painted black...i chose 55w 5k because lightwerkz feels that it will match the 3k better...either way i will get both the 43k and 5k and play with the 2 to see which I like better...

thanks for all the good words...the car is ridiculous fast...had a few cars tryin to race me the past few days and no one could even come close..and thats with winter tires that LOVE to spin!

PTuning is amazing!...love there product and there customer service..thanks everyone!

As for the Haltech, its great, just need to work out a few bugs to make it perfect.

And I will have a full built head prob next month so 2k is def worth spendin on the retro!

And I used to have the dezod S2 and all i can say is ____ dezod...this kit is amazing!!!

Everyone says so many great things about Dezod's customer service being so great, but I had nothing but problems with them...took me 4 months to get my car running with their kit, with SO many problems... Once the kit was finally put together properly, the car ran well, but as for customer service...FTL...once they got your money they dont give a ____ about you...
