Default Steering Wheel

Anyone had a chance to remove the silver plastic pieces on the steering wheel that have the cut-outs for audio controls? I was thinking of painting the silver center piece to the steering wheel, but not to sure how to get it off.

i think i know. havent tried it yet though.

1. disconnect battery
2. disconnect bolts on back of steering wheel
3. disconnect air bag sensor

and i think you will be able to get to those pieces.

all i can think of is that you either have to take apart the steering column cover or you have to yank the horn off somehow ive found no bolts screws clips from looking around

so i took apart the steering column and it didnt do anything. i know the back of the sterring wheel just pops out but you only have maybe a couple inches if you stretch it out to play with. only way i see this going.. is just pulling from the front.

I just bought a 2012 tc 7.0, and the steering wheel controls do not light up. Is something wrong with mine? I can't find the right buttons at night.

u need to mention the super cool and super smart futuristic design feature known as the "dip and bump" that help u know which one is up and which one is down

.....also, either u are wearing short shorts....or u sit bottomless in your tC2
