I would say 19" you can do without rubbing, but watch the offset and tire size..if I remember right the offset should be +42 on the wheels and the tire is 215/35/19....I have seen a 20" but I think they were rubbing...

^^^ Yep, 19's are it but the ride quality is so poor I wouldn't go over 18's.

I believe that a 225/30/20 will fit on the right wheels. May barely rub at full lock, I don't know.

My 20's rubbed bad without any work, but not anymore.

18's with 40 series is probably best choice. 19's with 35 on them, poor ride. 18's with 40 is slightly bigger then 17's with 45 series but just a butt crack hair smaller then 19's with 35 and have a very nice ride feel.

i don't have mine yet, but theres an older xB owner down the road with the 18" package on his with 40 series on them and i met up with him the other day and had a test run with them. they feel really close to the normal stocks.

without extensive mods 19's with proper offset and tire size. VERY expensive tires though. 20's are cheaper that way.

with work 21's will fit .

as much as the 40 series is an improvement over 135's theres no way stock to 215/40/18 is anywhere near the same. i'm guessing he had smoother riding springs than you do.

well if thats the case he must have... but i doubt it, he was on the TRD 18's on 40 series. he didn't do any performance pieces at all and it feels almost the same to mine... and i don't have anything on mine yet.

worn shocks , softened springs after time. something. you have a new car with low miles. these cars ride pretty danged stiff when new

It's not that surprising... I have H.Tech and Monroes in back. When I traded out my steelies and OEM rubber for my TRDs with 35 series tires the ride became more compliant. It's not as jumpy as before.
