Default need tire help for xb

I got upgrade TRD 18" wheels with 215-35-18 tires that need new tires on my 01 xb. Anyone knows if I can go to any other size such as 225-35 or 215-40 or 45? I have stuck suspension. I did check the tire post in the tech, but don't know if my rims are 18x7 or 18x7.5. Any help would be highly appreciated. Any leads to good inexpensive tires would be too.

A 215-35 is normaly mounted on a 7.5" rim. This doesn't mean the TRDs you have are 7.5, but it would seem so.
A 215-45 would give you a slightly better ride & add about an inch in height. 225s are big & heahy, much more so than a 215, not a size I would recomend.

The TRDs are 7.5"...You can go a 215/40 series, but I thnk you might rub with a 225 series...even with stock springs. I always double-check with a tire calculator to make sure. The tech section at Discounttires.com helped me out.

I just upgraded to 225 40 18 after having 215 35 18 and I rub a little bit where I'm going to cut a lil bit of plastic but I'm also lowered. with a stock suspension u will probably be ok andits a nice upgrade for the terrible ride and risk of damage to ur rims.

You can run a 215/40/18 with no problems especially on stock suspension and it won't throw your speedo off. A 225/40/18 will rub on turns even with the stock suspension. They will also throw your speedo off. If I remember correctly if you are going 60mph you're actually going 63.5mph. go with the 215/40's you'll be much happier.
