should be fine if you put the same tire pressure in as the stock tires so long as it does not exceed the maximum tire pressure rating of the tires listed on the side of the tire.

I always ran 33-35 psi in my 17's with no problems.

you should check the sidewall of tire for correct pressure rating some low profile tires need a minimum to not destroy the sidewall. my z rated 215/40/17 need at least 40lbs to be safe and run/wear well at 45lbs lower psi can destroy a low profile tire.

typically i run lighter in the rear then i do the fronts. The front is where all the weight is. I tend to go with 32PSI in the fronts and 30PSI in the rear.

Running 40 psi all around. Handles better and seems to help mileage too.

So basically 215/35/18s need to be run at closer to 40 psi? I'll try 38 and see how it rides.

check the sidewall of your specific tire rubber compounds differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. each tire is going to be different depending on the make up and size. your tire sidewall has the proper range printed on it.

Dude with that size tire no matter what u run the ride is going to BLOW!!! I had some and the wife curbed all four with no problem. I ran them at 35. now I have 225 40 18s and I have a much better ride and it helps protect the rims better. I'm running 40 on them but I think I'll go down a bit for a better ride.

My ride doesn't blow cause I run the softer Monroe shocks. It actually rides pretty nice with the 18's. Moving up in tire size won't help against curbage. Since I've had my Scion I have not hit one single curb. There is NO reason to even get close to a curb with the TINY xB. You can park a foot or more away and still not stick out in traffic.
