Default Tien or Eibach??

OK, I need some lowering springs to get rid of my wheel gap, and gimme some better handling. I was originally going to go with Tien S-Techs but heard that they tend to sag after awhile, or sag more than others I guess i should say. I heard that the Eibachs are really good, but they like another 50 or so more, are they the better springs and worth the money?

If I could get something a little stiffer I would be happy too, but I'll prob stick with the "close to stock" lol of ost springs. I plan on pushing the car and want to autocross and whatnot so I'll be getting other things like sways and stuff so keep thought in mind too. Thanks in advance I'm just torn on what to get. Oh, one more thing I don't want a huge drop either,
no more than 1.8" total.

Get the S.Techs then.

If I were you though, I'd grab some DFs or Goldlines

If you were to go with my set-up(click on my profile) , it would be the ultimate(next to coil-overs). My set up springs+shocks = $600 new . The most inexpensive coil-overs I've seen are right about $850 shipped- I think.

PS... I have a NEW set of Eibach Pro's for sale right now... its in the suspention classified section.

Homie I have the eibach pro-kit, the only negative thing I have to say is the rear sags a tiny tad. The ride quality is most impressive, it handles awesome and it looks pretty sweet, I rarely scrape on anything Ill post you some pics later.

DM... I left some feedback for your xB .. nice ride!

Also, on the coil-over situation @ $850 ish, I believe those would be Tein Basic coil-overs. Not exactly too sure in terms of performance which set up would be better overall(Tein Basics vs. my set-up) , but mine is $250 less $$$, plus my front struts are fully adjustable to help tune out the understear our vehicles produce. One plus about coil-overs is you can usually adjust the height of the ride a full 1"- 1.5" range though. On the negative side, if a strut blows on one of your coil-overs... your kinda screwed(unless its under warrenty period)- I have not looked into replacement parts for coil-overs, .cost, etc.

I got my Tein Basics slightly used for $500

They will have less of a chance blowing struts/shocks than your setup because the struts and shocks are valved for the spring rate. Whereas your setup, your struts and shocks are not valved for your spring rate, so either your springs are working too hard or your struts and shocks are working too hard.
That is why Progress coilovers feel uncomfortable because you have to buy universal shocks for the rear that are not valved for such a stiff spring rate.
