Default Head-On Police Chase Crash....was that a Supra???

Saw this vid clip on the news the other nite. Was that a white supra that got rammed and destroyed? I think it was either a supra or a 2G DSM.

Anyway I doubt thats a supra, take a closer look at the rear end. Looks more like a nissan to me.

the dark car looked like a nissan, the white car looks like a coupe, but in reports i'm reading, it sounds to be a sedan. oh well.

there was no cop involved in that crash. fyi

white car was def a supra. i heard that the driver of the supra is pretty well known on the whatever car forum that he's on. it's sad that the supra driver was killed in the nissan's selfish act of suicide. totally f***ed up

doesn't seem that the supra was paying attention
I mean it doesn't even look like he tried to avoid the incoming car

That happened here in AZ. If I remember correctly the guy in the Nissan had just robbed a bank. Both drivers were killed. The driver of the Supra was an innocent bystander... could have been anyone of us.

It looks like the driver in the Supra slammed on his brakes at the last minute but you only have a split second to make a decision when you see a car coming at you that fast. He probably didnt even realize wtf the other driver was doing.

nowadays people who are being chased by cops have nowhere to run because the police helicopters always going to be the eye in the sky. there's been discussion on having the police refrain from chases because it causes so many accidents. from the looks of the video and discussion with my coworkers it was suicide because he had complete control of the car

yup people do some pretty f**ked up chit, never know who's on drugs these day. Mix that up with adrenaline, money, guns and cops...definitely not going to be a good outcome. I'm not saying this dude was on drugs, but you never know what goes through some of these criminal's minds.

I can never side with the group that believes in backing off on pursuits, it's just not the right message to be giving to criminals. The next time you hear sirens, watch the people around you and pay attention to how long it takes them to notice or even IF they pull over. And then tell me that it's not also sometimes the oblivious idiot driver's fault that gets hit or worse...if a lot of people just payed more attention while driving and yield to emergency vehicles many of those collisions could have been avoided.
