I need to figure out where im going to mount my 4 gallon pancake tank under the vehicle in the back. Do any of you have it setup this way? i was looking to mount the compressor under the back also.. but im not sure how far (if at all) i can move the evap canister?
Any pics would help, i couldnt really find any pics of under car setups.
thanks!
pic of my setup so far!

My compressor and tank are under the rear. My tank is only 3 gallon and is cylindrical. I mounted the tank just forward of the rear body panel. Mounted it directly to the rear floor pan of the car.
I fabricated a steel bracket and mounting tray for the compressor out of some sheet steel about (1/16" thick or so I can not remmeber the guage I bought at the hardware). I made an L shaped piece with the bottom of the L wide and long enough to mount the compressor on with some access to both ends. The verticle leg of the L I made tall enough so that I could bolt it to the rear body panel with the compressor sitting on the bottomleg of the L without hitting anything. I bolted it to the front of the rear body panel in an area aft of the evap canister with the compressor toward the rear. My compressor ends up almost sitting under the center of the left side of the rear bumper rebar. I finished the compressor shelf/bracket by welding triangular sides on both ends of the L shaped piece of steel making for a very strong mounting. I ran the the top of the bracket up the face of the body panel far enough to get good sized bolts in a triangular pattern for added strength (perhaps 2.5 inches?) I welded in mounting bolts in the rear panel. My compressor is a 400 series Viair. The compressor ended up shielded in strong steel and tucks up far enough to be of no concern (the tank hangs lower).
I wish you luck on your install. Is a challenge and also a lot of fun to make stuff work
I have looked at relocating the evap box. (3 gallons of air really is marginal) I believe that I could move the evap box toward the left rear wheel some more and fit a second 3 gallon tank in mine. I see no great challenges besides possibly finding the right hoses (some may need to be longer), and modifying /fabricating mounting hardware. I would bet that your pancake tank could mount without moving the evap box a long way.
