So I've been wanting to change out my headlight bulbs without going HID. I'm torn between either yellow or blue. Now i dont mean OEM yellow or "Lexus/BMW whitish blue, like real yellow or real blue. Want to change out highs and lows, i was thinking blue lows, yellow highs.
As for bulbs, I've heard Sylvannia are expensive and burn out fast. Have heard Nokya are good, Luminics are good...any other suggestions???? Thanks alot in advance guys...

ohhh that cant be good lol. I was looking at the Nokya 9005 yellow bulbs for the highs. I barely ever use the highs, maybe once every 2 weeks or so when im drivin home late at night or somethin, so they won't be in constant use. Would that be a good bulb? As for the blue 9006 low beams...still looking...

 

i would say yellow, because i believe in most states that blue is illegal due to the color of police lights

 

well im not thinkin straight up blue, I know i'm probably sounding real confusing lol. I don't want just white, but enough blue so that you can tell its whitish/blueish. I have a deep pure blue in my parking light bulbs but want more a blue/white for low beams. you get it?lol

 

I would just save more money and get hids

from experience, luminics suck, so do halos, both have bad light output

 

i would recomend mobile hid...sick price sick quality....

 

If you are not going HID, try the 9006-9005 conversion, do a search and you'll find it. You'll get marginally brighter light.

The Sylvania Silverstars are good, they don't burn out quickly (unless you've touched the glass with your fingers), but if you want a hint of blue, the Silverstars won't have much of it. Try another brand.

Stay away from the Luminics... they may have the 5150K temp (blue tint) you want, but you'll end up frying your harnesses. The pair that I had were 80 watts and they melted one of the plugs.

I actually swapped out the harness for my low beams (since one was melted) and installed the 9005 harnesses and plugged in the 9005 Silverstars. A bit brighter and cleaner light while still retaining a respectable cutoff.

Try looking into some Phillips NightGuides.
Lights up the road yellow on the left, white in the middle, and blue on the right,
And the colors are noticeable when you look at the headlight housings.

I did the 9006 to 9005 mod with a pair of Silverstar Ultras.
It's more yellow than blue but it is definitely brighter.
Blue or white parking bulbs would probably help give it more color since I'm still using the stock parking bulbs.

 

Before I switched to HIDs I had PIAA Spark 8000K bulbs in the lows. They have a nice blue tint to them. I still have them if you want to take them off my hands.
