I was wondering what is involved in replacing my '06 headlights with '08 projector headlights. Curious if it is just PnP or if there is wire splicing involved.

I like the look of the new headlights a hell of alot better than any other ones out there!

I think you have to splice since it's a different type bulb. pretty easy to splice and soder a couple wires

 

I heared that you need to change the wiring harness, or mod it

it is not that hard, but it's not an simple bolt-on task

i had to extend the wireharness on the passengers side a little but more. wasnt hard but just ___ to do lmaoo

 

Just go HID and its plug and play -- If not they make an 9006 -> H11 harness so u dont have to splice if u dont want to.

 

Yeah the best way would be to get a set of HIDs and use the 9006 to H11 adapter cable......that way there is no cutting..........plug and play........

 

It's just PnP H11 and 9006 uses the same harness... they are just different bulb types. At least that what my buddy told me who changed his headlights to an 08

I never said that. I said it uses the same harness.

 

Very easy just get your HIDs as well as the harness just incase one goes out.

 

If you don't go HID, there is a connector you can buy to plug into your 9006 harness that converts it to an H11 bulb. If you do go HID, Mobile HID FTW! He will give you a 9006 connection with H11 bulbs. Just let him know when you place the order.
