Ok. I'm looking to put new tires on my tC as the stock RE92s kinda suck and I'm looking toward some winter rain and snow driving - I want to feel safe in the car.

Here is the problem. 215/45-17s aren't cheap tires, and I'm looking to get some really good ones. I've heard good things about the Pirelli PZero Nero M+S's, but I don't know where to buy them. Tirerack has them for like $116, but I don't know about support, shipping, mounting, etc. My local (preferred) store has them installed, balanced, etc., but they're like $165 each! Any advice?

Well that's my issue. I checked your installer guide and it looks like I'd be paying about $70 or so (not including any hidden fees) to have the tires mounted and balanced. Then I'd have to pay maybe $40 for shipping. Then if I have a problem, I have to count on a manufacturer warranty, rather than having somewhere local to go.

On the Pirellis at least, you guys still beat my local shop on cost. On some other tires (Like the continentals), I can get about the same price at a local shop, just not my preferred place - hard call.
